Central location. Exceptional ambience. Stylish house and rooms furnished with original Victorian-style furniture. Very cosy. Very well kept. Very personal address in the whole house. A highlight of our holiday - please bring well-groomed clothes, as dress code is mandatory! Very good value for money!
No wishes have been left unfulfilled.

The staff was very friendly. Especially Justin, he was so polite and courteous. He shared several details about the history of the hotel. It made our stay more pleasurable.

Helen
Excellent location directly in the centre. Very friendly staff
The whole building with club and hotel already looks very dusty. A lot of it is old, heavily worn and should actually be renewed. The whole flair is "very British". If one appreciates this atmosphere, it is a clear recommendation.

We were pleasantly surprised with this place. Close to the inner harbor and restaurants, we could easily visit any restaurant that we wanted. The BEAUTIFUL OLD LIBRARY was a highlight and a great place to relax. The staff provided excellent service, including housekeeping, laundry, and a welcome drink. The room amenities were great, including ironing facilities, heating, and a sitting area.
We highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Takes you back to early 20th century with a feeling of being in a large private club. Great history in the walls. Access to an incredible living room, reading room, etc. Wonderful value, including breakfast. Enjoyed cocktails with friends in living room, wine list extensive and reasonable. Perfect location near Empress and harbour. No air conditioning - open window fresh air. Staff caters to private club members and guests equally congenial.
Rooms and bathrooms are dated, but comfortable.
